Shroud

Shroud is a First Person 3D stealth horror game created in the Unity Engine.

Responsibilities:
• Created 2D level layout plans
• Created Flowchart and Beat Chart to gauge the flow and difficulty of the level
• Worked on balancing and tuning
• Created engaging enemy encounters
• Implemented all art assets
• Used a Modular Kit to build the levels
• Designed and created the UI elements
• Created the character and enemy textures

There are three levels, with each one featuring a variety of different enemy encounters that ramp steadily in difficulty.

• Created 2D level layout plans
• Emphasized stealth gameplay with the use of line of sight, pacing, and enemy encounters
• Developed the pacing of the level through a set of initial beat charts, and made iterations until the desired pacing was achieved

• Adjusted balance and pacing to create moments of high and low intensity
• Balanced the levels by testing and tuning variables using Excel spreadsheets

Enemy Archetypes

• Scripted enemy archetype functionality and behavior
• ​Modified and tuned values to change enemy awareness, and cone of vision
• Created textures for 3D enemy models
